June Sketch Challenge

Today I worked on this layout of my nephew, Teddy for the June Sketch Challenge from Scrap Our Stash.

I really loved the sketch - it really took me out of my comfort zone.  I had trouble with embellishments, so I left it somewhat plain.  I still like it though. We had to use Kraft cardstock and one metal embellishment.

Here is my layout and the sketch.

Laid Off

So, I got laid off on April 3rd.  Spent two weeks crying every day. I loved my job and most of the people there.  The only thing that really sucked was the commute.  But, I put up with it for 19 years because I was so happy there.

Then I decided to:
#1 - look at it like I was on vacation for a little while.  So I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking!
#2 - look at it as an opportunity to find a new job with a better commute.

Only problem is with every company out there doing layoffs, it has been so hard to even get an interview!  Really does beat up your self-confidence.  Hopefully this too shall pass.
